hi guys

i have run around 30000 rounds through the gears as of the moment, the bevel shows some wear as does the last tooth on the sector gear which grips the metal gear on the pistion.

before i changed to the aluminum piston i change my piston on average every 800 rounds, and that pissed me off, so i tried different brands, marui, guarder, promentheus, systema, and they all break at these stress levels, but the aluminum piston just holds together, which is nice so far around 5-6 k rounds through it.

about the M4 the 9,6 4200 batteri is made buy taking 3 9,6 1400 batteries and then solding them in parallel, so instead if a 28,8 volts 1400 mah batteri i instead get a 9,6 4200 mah batteri, it fits nicely into the front grip and last very long around 12000 rounds on the gun.
actually it is a very good way to make use of the smaller batteries because it stresses them a lot less when the are 2 or 3 to give the current needed for the motor.

and yes all the vaules are in meter/second. just multiply by around 3,3 and you get the FPS values. and they are not BS either.

also please remember the energy therms about velociy and weight, Energy=(velocity^2)*weight so 150 m/s with a 0,43 is around 210 m/s with at 0,2

also remember that atm it is shooting 129 m/s with at 0,43, the 150-160 is what i would like it to shoot, hence why i am trying some custom springs. made of 2 and 2,2 mm piano wire.

about the pain, being shoot at around 25 meters with this rifle, it feels like a point blank shot by a 330 fps with at 0,2.

Meh, fair nuff. Like I said, was a guesstimate. What I've done for chronying with my M24 shows roughly a 100fps difference between 0.36g and 0.20g, so I added another chunk of velocity to make up for that extra 0.7g difference. Hehe

so how high do you need to aim at 100 yards to get hits?

I think it might be cheaper if I pull the bullets from my 22 and reload them with plastic ones what do you guys think? I am sure I could get around 1,000 fps with it! heck I might even spend the $200 get the tax stamp and get a full auto! talk about realism! JK

Anyway I am interested in in your guns it seems that you have spent a lot of time and money getting this setup to work. How much is your gun worth right now?

Either way, still sounds really painful.
no, E does not equal mv. E=m/2 v^2.
thus 0.43/2 * 524^2 = 0.2/2 * vf^2, vf=~768FPS

Ah ok, I'm not much of a physics guy. Thanks for the clear up.

Loading a BB with a real shell and powder would land any of us in jail. We spend an average of $400 to $600 for a stock gun, then add the accessories.

There is a thread on what costs to expect in the FAQ. For us it's exchange rates, import fees, etc.

It is easy to exceed $1000.

100Yards? only with luck or with an upgraded gun on a perfect day. Average is not much more than 150-200 feet.

Greylocks,
I was just joking about loading real bullets for airsoft you would need to be insane to do that or have a death wish.

also I was asking ringsted about hitting targets at 100 yards because he says that he can do it.

I cant wait to get my sniper rifle and have my machenist friend help me make some custome parts!

hitting people from 100 yards away, is only possible with this gun i i use full auto, since the spread is very large on those distances, it is not even close to a one shot, it is a burst of around 15 bbs, and the target have to have the entiere body visible. there was one time however where som people where running around at the top of a hill around 90 yards away, and i sat popping semi shots at them for quite a while, maybe 90 shots or so, and one of them got hit, he was totally surprised and i talked with him later because he said it was kind of weird just sitting around and then being hit in the mask all of the sudden, but bear in mind how many shoots it took to actually hit him in that case.

to greylocks, with an ordinary M120 200 feet is quite possible the maximum range, but with an very upgraded gun that easyly moves to 260 feet possible with single shoots, and the 100 yards kill was actually on a perfect summers day, with 2 people exposing thier entire frame to me.

about the money. now i dont know about the prices you have in Canada, but i have put around 1500 USD in it, and thats just the parts and if they are bought directly from Hong Kong. H have done all the mechbox work myself since it lets me tamper with it and test it a lot. instead og just sending it to some random mechcanic who perhaps do not do the work to my liking. the gun has also evolved quite a bit over the past years, i begang as an M130 tune rifle and then i just went up in spring size.
