Battery upgrade

If I put a 9.6V in my gun which has a SP 100 and metal bushings. Will I kill the internals? I noticed a ROF drop on the 8.4V from stock but that is expected.

Firing your gun kills your internals, just like living kills your body. A 9.6v will merely kill your internals faster. It's hard to determine just how fast.

But should I be good for a while or is this a stupid thing to do?

Going easy on the trigger, not a full auto hoser, will also help preserve your gun. Thats just common sence of course, but with a 9.6V full auto for long term will of course take its toll on your internals.
