Weesatch + AK mags?

Has or is anyone running a HSGI weesatch (or similar) and AK mags? I'm curious as to what the fit will be like. On Dave's website it says that it is designed to hold multiple mags of various types but personal input is always nice

Yes, no problem running those mags. It will fit two per pouch. The only thing you can't do is use the velcro tabs included with the Wa/Weesatch as they won't fit over the mags.

Hope this helps

Excellent, thanks just making sure, didn't want to run into the problem of not having a rig and shelling out $100 or so for a russian vest...although they do look good lol

If you do any sort of crawling around in the muck, stay away from HSGI stuff with AK mags.

If you are talking about the Wa/Wee specifically , your right about the crawling . As they were not intended to crawl to the fight . They are not a squirrel hunting rig either .
If you suggesting HSGI gear in general , your plum full of it !
Most of HSGI gear was inspired by our military servicemen and has been tried and tested and still in production . If it didn't work , we would not be making and selling it . 100 Wa/Wee's went out today to our military .

If anyone needs longer velcro tabs to use for AK's , all one has to do is call and we will make . Or one can save $$ by using rubber bands in conjunction with the existing velcroed tabs to hold the mags within . The Wasatch were designed to carry AK , SR25 , M4 , M14 , Fals , or similiar type mags .

The Warlord series will carry AK easily , as well as the UMMP's . If one wishes for a Wa/Wee , get the Woosatch and use either shingles or UMMP's . But shingles are dirt scoopers as well if your crawling .

Sorry for the rant , but I'm a little irritated as well as having a couple of cracked ribs right now .
Merry Christmas !
