Fuck that, I like reliable and accurate guns. :P
Actually, MP5 mags fit Armalite pouches perfectly, and can double the mag count carried. That chest rig can hold 8 Armalite mags, so I'll be able to carry 16 MP5 mags if I wanted (or had that many). I have 10 low/mid caps, and three unused hicaps, I might pick up a few more mags to carry the max amount of 30rd mags for when I get around to playing PQAC games. |

Just a note, I received my coyote brown chest rig the other day and it's a sweetheart of a rig! Eagle used some pretty fucking strong elastic to hold the pouches closed, looks like for now I can only hold 3 MP5 mags in each becuase they are hard pressed to accept a fourth. On the same note, two Armalite mags have to be seriously squeezed into the pouches as well. Guess it just needs to be broken in more.
As a side note, because it's pretty important, I can easily fit a beer in each pouch and it's held rather securely (there is a middle pocket between the chest and the pouches, it runs the full length of the chest rig, good place to stuff a few cold packs to keep said beverage cold). So I guess it's a kick ass party rig, and will probably do pretty good for actually playing as well. Have only really used it for testing and holding beer to this point, haven't gamed in it yet. BTW, it goes great with multicam, and fits perfectly with my DZ Recce smock on, one of the main reasons I chose that rig! CIRAS and weesatches just won't work to well due to the size and location of the pockets on the smock. Some do it successfully, it never felt right to me (nor did wearing my main vest that was both OD and hard to adjust on the fly........... the latter being another reason I chose the Eagle chest rig. T-shirt or fleece under smock, takes little effort to adjust for all!) |
