Usr-11 home upgrades.
I just got a USR-11 rifle and out of the box it shoots like a Wal-Mart gun not very impressive.
I have three ICS AEG’s and they shot way faster and the accuracy was about the same.
So I started upgrading it. I wanted to see just how much power I could get without buying any upgrade parts so the first thing I did was put electrical tape around the nozzle to make it fit sung in the hop-up rubber the super glued the hopup rubber to the barrle, Then I took the weights off the piston. I noticed that the O-ring that is on the piston was really lose so I took it off and found out that the grove it sits in was cut way to deep.
I filled it up with some Teflon tape till the o-ring fit snug and made a good seal.
These modifications made a huge difference in the FPS now it was shooting as fast as my AEG’s and a little bit more accurate. However for it to be an effective sniper rifle I would need to get more power so I went to the hardware store to look for a replacement spring but I could not find anything but I got to thinking about it and realized that the spring that was in the gun does not get compressed near all the way so I made a spacer to go in the piston (it was a little less then an inch long) after I made the spacer I needed to cut the spring guide down so that it would not bottom out on the spacer.
I put the gun back together and man did that make a big difference! Before I did this the gun would go through both sides of a coke can but not through the bottom after this mod it would shoot through the bottom and even through the bottom edge! I think all that I need now is a tight bore for it and I will have a really good sniper rifle and all it will cost is about $150 USD.
The way it is now I can outrange a none upgraded aeg.
