What's a good Hop-up Rubber?

Hey

I'm wondering what's a good hop-up sleeve because I just ripped my second one (Guarder Improved 70). Well, not exactly ripped but I can't use it any more because it got stretched too much on the side that's closer to the receiver. So it doesn't fit in the hop up unit no more. I got it stretched because I forced it out of the hop-up unit since it was literally just stuck there and I needed to clean my barrel.

So what's a good Hop-up Sleeve? One that doesn't rip easily, and doesn't stretch easily. I'm probably going to buy a few of these just for the "in case" situations, because the hopup completely depends on it.

PDI 130% Spring
6.04mm TN barrel

I haven't chrono it so I don't know what FPS I'm getting but, somewhere between 350FPS - 390FPS would be right(So I need the Softer Type sleeve).

Thanks.

Can't go wrong with a Systema. It even comes with a barrel stabilizing ring, and it's not too expensive.

If you're willing to splurge, go with the KM RH65. It has a notched bump that gives more accurate shots.

No, I just sold it. I only have the RH75 for sale, which is way too strong for your setup.

Really, I have an RH65 in my M24 and am still struggling to get it to work right (M24 sitting around 480fps, I know the RH65 is up to 400fps..............) how much improvement will the RH75 give me in my M24? I'm not overly sure about whether my system is giving me odd shots, or my use of hop up rubber (both Guarder clear and RH65 are screwy with my 0.29g SGM BBs............ am actually leaning back to Straight 0.36g BBs since they are as inconsistant shooting as the SGM 0.29g Match Grade stuff.

Anyways, might consider buying it from you Brian.

What's the problem you're having with the RH65?

The RH75 I've tried mostly in guns up to 430fps and it was finicky to get it to work right. When it worked well, it shot fine. When it was off, the velocities had an extremely wide deviation, sometimes by as much as 200fps lower than it should be. The only differences they should have is durability... but the hardness in the material is what affects your shots. You need higher velocity to punch it past the harder rubber lips/nub of the RH75.

im not a big fan of the clear ones myself. i lubed the shit outta mine, and when i went to change my inner barrel, i tore it. theyre just TOO soft. once theyre on there, theyre on there. the new improved guarder black ones are better imo

One thing I've found with the Guarder clear is they swell after a while. I've had one in my MP5SD for about 2 years now, I have the hop up lever set full off and it shoots a good 200ft. My MP5A5 has had one since last fall, it's now shooting the same distance with full hop up off (all with both 0.25g and 0.28g). I guess just regular maintainance makes the oil sink in and the material swells.

I went through a couple clears with my CA M24, because I'm shooting close to 500fps the bucking would get beaten and split after 6 months or so, but I kinda liked them. Now I have the RH65 in there, I'm still working things out best I can, but I don't know if inconsistancies I'm having is due to something in my rifle, the hop up unit/design, whichever, or with the rubber itself. Not going to give up on it, but considering the rating of the RH65 and what my M24 is spitting out at.............

I'm loving my G&P black hop up sleeve with barrel stablizer ring.

Stay away from the madbull ones though I have a feeling their quality control is a bit off. I have two that don't work at all.

I am using a Prometheus hard type (red one) in my BA setup (525 fps)

It works great, I don't have to set it all the way in or out, about in middle so I guess it's ok.

Plus with the PDI hop-chamber I have to adjust TWO hop-up to make it shoot straight (great when it's done, a pain in the ass to do since I have to remove mag/cock it first)

Anyways, I am not sure if they make a softer sleeve, but I think that would be good if they do.

Yeah, Prometheus makes a soft one as well. I don't have much experience with those, but I've installed them in a couple of user's guns with no complaints back from them. Given Prometheus' reputation with their other parts, I can only assume they're working well.
