KSC g19 Basic Upgrades?
Hey again. Im just wondering out of curiosity:
What should be the basic upgrades of the ksc g19? i know a metal slide should be the first if using propane, but anything else? Ive searched everywhere on this forum and using google (other airsoft forums, mainly american) and cant find anything on just the bare minimum upgrades needed for a slight performance / durability upgrade. Thanks a lot, MadLz :duke: |

you can also get tune up kits that give you an upgraded recoil spring and high flow valve that allows your glock to shoot faster (fps wise) and have a harder recoil.

thanks karnage i see on your site you have some g17 and 18 kits do you have a g19 kit? is the g17 basically interchangeable with the g19?
Also, are these kits (valve, springs) as high quality as King Arms etc. I noticed illusion is selling a single KA high flow valve for 45 dollars by itself while these kits are 45 and KA springs are $12 alone . Thanks! MadLz :salute: |

I would just get the metal slide, upgraded recoil spring, and metal mag catch.
Since the metal slides don't usually come with sights, and you risk damaging them if you take them off the plastic slide, I would also get some nice night sights. Everything else is gravy. Ooh, having a bunch of spare mags is nice. I have 4 mags total for my G17. And don't get high flow valves unless you plan to install them in everyone of your mags. Makes things more consistent when you switch reload. |

do you recommend a rocket valve as well?

The rocket valve isnt required unless you break yours, its mearly a durability issue.

Although the Hurricane high flow valves do the job just fine and will definitely give you a performance boost, of all the KSC Glock valves I've tested, the KM / Head1950 valves I've tested gave the highest boosts with the most consistent results. Plus, they have the added benefit in their ability to modify the valve height of the striking surface for custom tuning. You'd modify them for different gasses you may use, and for the variability of the installation of each valve. Some will install lower than others, depending on the cut depth of the threads. The ability to make the striking surface consistent across all mags makes the outputs between each magazine more consistent with each other.

Hurricane vavles are hit and miss. some reported they wreck your gun. if you get that upgrade, jsut install the recoil spring, hammer spring and the high flow, keeping in mind that if you buy a G17 kit for a G19, you can't use the recoil spring, its too long.
