metal body
Hey im getting a metal body for my tm m4 from my friend. Its a spare of his and he says this way i can add a metal hop up. My question is can i still use a plastic hop up in my gun with the metal body and what are the pros/cons (if there are any) of a metal hop up?

No, you can't use a plastic hop up.
Benefits of a metal hop up: - MASSIVELY increased durability (the stock plastic two-piece one is crap) - Better feeding - Improved air seal The downside? You lose the ability to do a quick takedown of your gun, ie you can't split the upper receiver from the lower. This is why Marui decided to go with this design, personally, I think that's a stupid decision, but it does make fixing the inner barrel a bit easier, I suppose... Anyways, if you're installing a metal body on your gun, you can't do a split open quick takedown anyways, so that point is moot. Just get the metal hop up chamber...

Unless its a zeke metal body you cant use the stock plastic hopup. Other then zeke the m4 metal bodies are all the 1 piece hopup design.
