AUG Upgrade
I was planning on upgrading my AUG a bit and needed some advice.
First of all, I would be getting a new spring, a Systema M120. I realize I need metal bushings (already have those), steel gears, and a bearing spring guide. I was wondering if the upgraded gears are OK on a stock piston. Also, if I did not upgrade the gears, would it be OK for a while? The questions about the piston and gears are all in relation to lasting for an 8-10 hour game, after which I could put in more upgrades. |

Oh oh, I gots a question to I can lump into this thread. Would a fancy polycarb piston crap out my TM monkey metal gears, if it were trying to compress an m120?

Upgraded gears are okay on a stock piston... obviously, a stock piston will wear down faster than with a stock spring or upgraded piston - it just depends on your threshold of replacement.
It won't bust in 5 shots, if that's what you're asking, you should be able to expect at least 10,000 rounds out of the stock piston as long as your battery isn't a beast that'll overdrive the gears. Same goes for stock gears. |

Alright so I'm fine for quite a while then. My battery is just an 8.4V 1500mAh mini so I'm fine.
