Stronger spring, better piston head, better nozzle. Nice long tightbore. To get more precise info, poke Illusion

Actually it being a TM M4A1, meaning V.2 mechbox and not reinforced. I'd suggest aiming for the 360-380 FPS range. What you should look for is a Prometheus M110 spring, and metal bushings for your mechbox upgrades. The stock piston/piston head is one of the best out there and should just be left until it wears out.
As for a tight bore, M4 length is 390mm. A good 6.05 or 6.04 at that length will help tighten up the spread of your bb's. If you plan to put a silencer, you can increase the length of the inner barrel as it would be hidden inside. If you plan to increase the inner barrel length however, make sure you pick up a non-ported cylinder. High FPS doesn't always mean better accuracy. Besides, its your first gun, play with it stock for a while before you go upgrading it. I'm not on the up and up of Richmond's fields, but you might want to look into what FPS limits are at any CQB fields. Sometimes they are kept low, sometimes higher. It being your only gun, you may want to look into accommodating this if you are to be attending any games. Save you the fee of a gun doc to swap out springs, or having to do it yourself.

I'd recommend upgrading to a spring guide with bearings and a ventilated piston head with bearings. The piston head being the more important upgrade. You'll see huge increases in shot consistency by ventilating the piston head and having thrust bearings on both end of the spring.
M4 length inner barrels are 363mm. I'd also recommend a tightbore - personally, I use Prometheus 6.03mm inner barrels and have never had a jam with them. You'll also get a slight velocity boost with that as well. |
