Colt 1911 Questions Regarding Slide Stops
I have a KJW 1911 with the Guarder metal body kit and various other upgrades.
The stock slide stop literally snapped in half and I'm in the process of trying to find one that works, unfortunately I wasn't able to find any sites that carry a replacement KJ one or Marui one. As a result, I bought two real steel ones (Swenson and a Smith and Wesson) both of which don't work properly. I tried a WE slide stop from their hicappa 5.1 line and it works reasonably well except that the last shot won't lock the slide back anymore even when enough gas is strong enough to kick it far back to where it should catch. Any ideas on where I can buy a slide stop that will fit and function properly? Thanks |

Off topic sorry. How much were those RS slides? From who did you buy them?

WELL KJW uses diff. internals than TM one. The Guarder kit was MADE ONLY for the TM. With proper gun smithing you can fit it into a WE

I think there's a misunderstanding, the KJ stock slide stop worked fine in the guarder body, until it broke that is. I just need to know where I can find a direct replacement.

Ronan, he bought a real steel slide stop and not a real steel slide.
