Classic Army Paint

Hey just wondering what black paint does Classic Army use? (Specificaly for the SR-25 if its different).

I need something specific (CA still hasn't answered), like a brand/color code etc.

Why am i asking? I might be getting a 'scratched' SR-25 receiver from a buddy for cheap.

What difference does it make? I mean really come on. Either spray it with Krylon flat black or take it to a powder coater and have them do it. I can understand you wanting the details to be perfect but really now...

Airsoft isn't like cars, bud. You don't need a "S.A.S black" or "Ranger Green" for your guns ..

And CA's probably laughing at you.

Traditionally military armalite recievers are never blued. Usually it is a phosphated finish on all metal components

Armalite recommends Testors brand paint for repairing their camo finishes;

But I would agree w/ Ex and just pic up some black bbq paint or black krylon camo and go with that. I traditionally use either for all my painting needs and I've had great results w/ both, although for the first time painter I would say go w/ the bbq paint - needs longer time btwn coats, and very light coats, but will produce a smoother finish.
