TM AUG Mod Noob Help
Hello. For the record, I'm not a noob to airsoft in general, but 100% clueless about modding airsoft guns.
I am probably going to get a TM AUG, and if I do it will be from www.007airsoft.com. I was told I could fit a NiMh 2100mAh 9.6V Tx Square into the back so I could use it as a large battery for it even though it is supposed to only take a small. But, it has come to my attention that I will probably have to upgrade my gun to not blow up the gearbox, no? I also saw that 007airsoft offered pre-installed upgrades that you can buy. Is this reliable/what I'm looking for? 350FPS Standard includes: 150% Spring, Steel Bushings, Shims, Grease, 30A Fuse, and Installation. Here is the page that shows the upgrades you can get from them: http://www.007airsoft.com/products/htm/upgrades.htm |

Now if you did go with that upgrade plan that battery will work fine. I hope I helped there. |

Thanks for the fast help guys I think I'll get the cheaper 350FPS upgrade (the one that I listed in my post) then. (they offer a more expensive one... I could only guess because its more durable?)

I had a PDI 140%, promethus piston and systema torque up gears, the battery you have listed. Quite the wicked setup.

Hey Tankdude, were they torque up gears? Thought they were original ratio.
I think I have your AUG in my possession lol |

This is a bit offtopic from the original question... but would The TM AUG with that upgrade (350FPS Standard includes: 150% Spring, Steel Bushings, Shims, Grease, 30A Fuse, and Installation) and this battery (NiMh 2100mAh 9.6V Tx Square) work well in winter? I read other topics saying that it would because it is a V3 but I'm worried that it is using a NiMh battery (apparently worse in cold) and that it would be upgraded (people said that that makes it more prone to breaking). What temperature do you think it would be rated for, whatcan I change to make it better, and is there anything else I miseed that I should know about winter airsoft? Thanks for all the help.

All batteries will work worse in Winter. They'll just not last as long. If you're concerned, buy two.

you should just buy my aug it is already upgraded, BIG TIME... get age verified...LOL
that will be a good setup I have found with my AUG that is now that is heavily upgraded I tear through batteries I figure I get 5 mags (450+-) rounds out of my block aug battery that you listed, but my aug is heavily upgraded. Get an aug metal hop up, it's the best upgrade you can add for the aug, imo 007 is pretty reliable on getting you your stuff, Ken has upgraded one of my guns you won't blow a version 2 mech box by running 9.6volts to it, before i upgraded my aug i feilded it for a season and a half with a 9.6 and never an issue, all though i did find that many TM aug highcaps wouldn't feed as quickly as my ROF required, i am no sticking to my standard mags
