Ok WTF!!! Didn't even know that existed... sounds kinda cool but heh...

Edit: DATA!!!!

CA M15A1 (upgraded)
Without the velocity reducer: 396-400 fps.
With the yellow ring (smallest reduction): 363-367 fps which is roughly a 10% reduction.
With the white ring (largest reduction): 275-277 fps which is roughly a 30% reduction.

Man if it really works you can strap that thing on to play indoor w/o changing the spring and all... 400 fps gun for oustide, 350fps gun for inside.

But they don't work all that great on full auto, thats why some indoor and cqb places don't allow them.

thankfully he doesnt need auto to be working for the game he needs to use it at. No auto allowed for anything other than an LMG.

Unless things have changed from the time I bought my famas to when you got yours, The flashider is held on by a set screw and not threaded on like virtually all the other airsoft guns ever made. You need the outer barrel threaded and then you can use the TM reducer.
I saw at one time a silencer adaptor for the famas so you would need to find that and then you could put the reducer on.
