Anyone put burlap around there gun?
Hey i just bought some burlap to wrap around my Dragunov, couldnt really find anything on the internet. Has anyone done this and it looks good?pics? best way? the way i was thinkin was makin little kinda loops with it and spray paint some in cammo colors or something to break it up.

Just cut it into strips and tie it on...
I did that to my M14 with some spare cadpat I had... only I used a stapler instead of tying it on... It keeps the material flatter and breaks up the outline of the gun better. I'll put pictures of it up later. |

Search around for "rifle wrap". You'll probably find quite a few things regarding camouflaging your rifle with various materials.

I cut to shape and also wrapped fishing net (the salt water kind, not the 'pick up the fish net' stuff) around my M24 then tied in strips of cadpat material, strips of OD mesh laundry bag, and some green jute strands (used for gardening):
And I purposely left the top of the barrel uncovered (bare netting) which helps break up the lines but also keeps crap from interferring with my sight picture. |

Incidentally, once in a while I'll set my M24 down in the treeline and assault a base or something, then go back to roughly where I left it, usually within 10ft of it, and it takes me a few seconds (up to 10 once in a blue moon) to find it. Lol, so losing rifles IS possible!

No, not that long, but 10 seconds to find the gun you left behind when you arrive within 10ft of it is quite long!
