If the field has any sort of tournament action, or sell high quality paint with thick fill you will have a harder time getting it out. When I played tournament paintball, we used paint that literally would stain your skin. Instantly.

hell, I had one brand of paint stain my GUN...
I think the waterproofing will definitely help! When I used to play paintball we used to hope the opposing team would use cheap paint so we could just wipe it off and make our sponsors look good. High end balls will stain just about anything and wont flake...I would still keep a towel or rag on you to wipe off any paint as you see it on your vest to prevent it from soaking through the waterproofing.

BAH! Stick a toothbrush through the MOLLE and brush off any paint the fuckers toss at you.

Personally, I only wash my gear when it smells like arse...at which point I pull out any nonessentials and toss it in the wash, with water and some vinegar.

thanks for all the input guys very helpfull info. thx again. I know some people will say that I am stupid for not wanting my gear to get dirty, but as much as natural things, like dirt and sap is annoying when it gets on gear i paid lots of $$$ for it only adds to the athenticity, but the haveing pink and blue paint all over everything is just rediculous.

You could always play at a field that doesn't involve paintballs...

When did Victoria Paintball start allowing airsoft? Is it still run by Peter and Frenchy?
Also, there's CIA in Duncan/Nanaimo, they play at Midway Paintball in Duncan most of the time. They have built an excellent field with bunkers and such, and I've never had the problem of getting paint all over my gear there.
CQB is fun but woodland is better. Airsoft has the range over paintball to be able to use the forest to your advantage. CQB is fun and all, but it's to easy, chuck a couple grenades at the enemy, problem solved. Makes for a boring game.
