real airsoft guns vs clones

is there any difference between clone airsoft and the real brands

Yes, In general, fit, finish, and quality of parts is not as good in Clone Brands.

That being said, some clones come very close to the quality of the so called "originals"

Largely you will get what you pay for, so if you are paying $150 to $200 less for a "clone" vs a "name brand" then you should not have the expectation that it will be just as good.

I have found that in stock form many clones perform as well as the name brands.. although due to less exacting manufacture the overall fit and finish is not as good. If you care about performance more than appearance there is no good reason not to seriously consider clones as a first gun.

Also, if you're a mechanically-inclined (or at least not inept) type, a clone becomes an even better option. Most of the likely problems can be prevented or fixed by replacing the dubious internal parts yourself.
