Gun problem
Hey there. I recently purchased a G&G CQB-H AEG. The gun fires at 390 FPS with .20s. It has a 6.04 tightbore and this gun shoots quite well. I run in it a 9.6v x 2000mil nimh battery. I charge my batteries using a Intellipeak deluxe pulse charger and follow the directions on how to slow charge batteries of this type. My problem is that I can only get about 1000 shots out before the battery can no longer supply the motor enough power to fire the rifle. But when I take out that battery, and put it in my TM M4. Which shoots about 370 FPS with .20s, The TM M4 will still shoot for quite a long time... I've taken in my batteries to be tested and they all passed. Can someone advise or give me some suggestions on how to solve this problem. Is there a problem in the mech box or wiring?

Could be the spring in the G&G is rather stiff and since it requires more power from the battery............... and possibly the M4 has a softer spring..........
My point, regardless of the velocity, some brands of springs are stiffer than others, requiring more power to compress it. Example, a Madbull spring is stiffer than a Modify spring, even though both might be in the same area for velocity. You also are using a rather small mAh battery, should get a 3800mAh or so for those guns. Yo uare using something that could be considered a large mini battery, and will have limited indurance (as you are finding). |

It may work
It is a good ideea to check your shiming in the gearbox, it is posibile to have a bad shiming that require more power from the batery so if you open your gearbox check shiming, relube all gears and check the hole subansamble. and also check the motor that it is in the right place not to forward in the gearbox or you may have problems

Doesn't matter the fps, the shimming (as mentioned) is a possibility, but I doubt that's the problem. I think it's more the spring involved. Various brands of springs may have a similar fps rating, but wildly differing stiffnesses (and resulting velocities as well). Stiffer ones (such as PDI, MadBull, Systema, Guarder, etc.) will make the motor draw more current, reducing the life of the battery (remember, the battery mentioned is only a 2000mAh one, as close as a large battery can be to equalling a mini battery), and other springs are spongier and will make the motor work less to run the gun easily and fast (Modify, Prometheus, etc.)
Shimming might be different between the guns, but so can the spring brand/rating. If I were to guess the two above differences, I'd say there was a Madbull 110 spring (a stiff one by my testing, 395-405fps in my MP5) in the G&G, and a Modify 100 (a softer one, got 370fps in a stock TM AK47 with bearing spring guide) in the TM M4. |
