Yes. The pitch of the teeth on ICS gears is much sharper than anyone else's. You'll end up chewing up your pinion gear otherwise.

Yep, I read that somewhere. Thanks!
Progress so far is just the new spring is in. I tried it for kicks to see if the Turbo 2000 could even cycle and it couldn't. It might be my battery though... I've been meaning to get new ones for a while. Hopefully the EG1000 will cycle but that won't be in until tomorrow at the earliest. Would a Tenergy 8.4V 1400mah battery cut it for the EG1000 + M120? I know the battery life will be poorer with this upgrade so I'm prepared to buy 2 of them.

Does anyone know how to change the pinion gear without a gear tool?

Go to a hobby shop. I bought a pinion puller for $15, and changed many pinions with it.
I made a tool to re-install the pinion so that you apply all the force to the shaft when you hammer it on.

Alright, big update! I installed everything except the motor and hooked up a 9.6V battery and it DIDN'T explode on me! I'm currently looking for someone with a pinion puller in Calgary to help me out. The Turbo 2000 doesn't seem to be doing a bad job of pulling the spring.
The only bad news is I have lost semi auto. I think the cut off lever has some issues which I will try Renegade's method of fixing.

Check my other thread. I actually got semi auto back now (re-opened the box to re-shim) but now my BBs are just rolling out of the barrel :S. I have no idea what to do... The sound is nice and crisp, just can't shoot BBs.
EDIT: I think I did what this guy did: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...Rolling+Barrel

Yep, fixed it this morning. M4 is shooting hard and fast!
Thanks everyone! As for the semi problem, I think it's the selector plate not moving all the way back to semi now because if I go back into safe from full then semi, I'll have semi auto. Can't be bothered to open it again for now anyways.
