Can M14 mags fit in G&P SR-25's?

Ok, I've looked on google, nothing conclusive (I may have missed a few potential searches, so if I have feel free to correct my ineptitude ). Searched on here and couldn't find anything (again, feel free to correct me if I failed the search).

The main question is whether TM or otherwise M14 mags would fit in a G&P SR25 receiver. I'm asking because the actual mags for the SR25 aren't the easiest to come by (redwolf currently only has one in stock, yes one). M14 mags are much easier to find.

Just wondering if anyone has tried to fit the M14 mags in (since in real guns, they are the same rounds, don't know if they fit in the SR25 in real guns though).

If someone from MB has access to an AEG M14 mag and would like to let me try it on my SR-25, that'd be great. Or if anyone has any info on this, that'd also be great.

EDIT: I also hope this is the right forum...

I doubt they would fit without some heavy modification. The mag catches are in completly different places. I notice thet WGC has G&P SR 25 mags in stock. One of the retailers should be able to get them for you.

M14 mags are tapered and the back end is thicker than an SR-25 mag, you would need to grind down both sides of the back half of an M14 mag. I ordered an M14 mag just to try it when I had an SR-25 and it would be a LOT of work, many hours for a single mag.

Yeah, I wasn't so much worried about the catch placement as that's easy enough to fix, but the fit instead. Ah well... Thanks for the info folks.

I know WGC has em, but they're a tiny bit expensive after shipping. It works out to 120+ for 4 mags. I guess I've just been spoiled by cheap M4 mags for so long, lol.
