JG m16 guard wobble.
OK after about a week of having my JG m16 the front guard or grip whatever you call it started to wobble. I already tightened up my stock because it came a bit loose. How would i go about tightening up the front guard so it no longer wobbles?

You can't really, it's inherent in the design.
Possible solutions: Fill it with expanding foam, buy a RAS. |

its one of those universal Armalite problems. Even Systema has the same problem, and you really can't fix it.
That's why I dont really use Armalites.. |

Oddly, my TM M4, CA M15 and JG HK416 don't have any wobble problem whatsoever. I keep hearing about it being a flaw with Armalites, but I've never experienced it.

Yeah it's just going to happen sooner or later with more and more use of the gun...

One-piece outer barrel is what you need.

You can try tightening the D-ring.

Tighten everything up...not crushing tight, but good and snug. Everything from the delta ring forward.
Front to back movement: If the barrel is anything like a TM 2 piece barrel...sorry can't recall at the moment, you can set the outer barrel back a hair (main section of outer barrel, which will squeeze the handguard a bit. You can also insert a shim inbetween the front handguard retaining circle thingy and the front sight...effective pushing the retaining thingy rearwards and squeezing the guards. General movement: Also the block that the barrel "chamber" inserts into could be loose in the plastic body...hopefully not. Rotational movement: The outer ring delta ring assembly wiggles, and the handguards do not index/lock into the inner portion of the assembly...so it's always going to wiggle a bit (i.e. rotate). But the whole barrel shouldn't wobble if things are tight (go easy...it's easy to strip out the threads of the cheap a** metal) |
