Help with KWC Mini UZI

Hey guys,

I purchased a Mini Uzi off a friend. The gun is fairly new, and I really like it.

I do have some questions, since I am quite new to airsoft.

If I were to sell this on this forum, how much would a used KWC Mini Uzi sell for? (about 80% new).

there seems to be a 5 mm round hole on the bottom of the mag, which is causing the co2 to leak. Can I fix it? or do I have to buy a new one?

Will propane gas Uzi Mag cost less than the co2 one? (it wastes quite a lot).

And where can I get my age verified?

thank you guys very much,

mike

I can answer one of your questions atleast. Here is a list of ager verifiers for Canada.

You should be able to find someone for the Vancouver area.

Because it's a limited market, selling prices for used stuff really depends on finding someone interested: price vs. interest.

The KWC Mini UZI is fairly uncommon, but it generally can't be used in games without modifications since it's way too hot when stock. So it's mostly for plinking or for someone who wants to perform the mods to it.

Offhand I'd say you can probably get around $300 for it if it's in good condition, less if there's problems with it.

One mine there's a small hole (~2mm in diameter) hole in the screw cap at the bottom of the mag; is that what you mean? That hole is normal. If CO2 is leaking, it's happening at the top, either in the valve area or at the seal where the probe connects to the CO2 cartridge.

The seal could be dried out, as may one of the o-rings. Not sure if/where you can get replacements. You can try lubing the shit out of it (something fairly thick, like white lithium grease).

There's a propane adapter you have to add to the CO2 mags; some mags were being sold pre-converted (RedWolf had em, dunno if they still do). But the price was at least the same as a regular CO2 mag.

Personally I've been looking at th WA Mini UZI mags; the WA mini UZI is basically the same, except it ships ready to use green gas. Reportedly the mags do fit in the KWC gun, but I don't know if they'd work properly and/or if the gun would run properly on them. Something I was planning on experimenting when I had $70 to gamble on a mag (moreso because I'd like to be able to skirmish the Uzi, in my case).

Redwolf, UNC and Cobra Airsoft have em. Others may, too. Prices are pretty much the same everywhere.

Did you do the piston head mod? That's the single most important upgrade you can/should/must perform on the KWC Mini UZI. There's several articles that detail how to do it; nothing particularly complicated, just replace the stock piston head (plastic disc) with a Shooters Design HICAPA piston head, with a couple of turns of PTFE thread seal tape under the O-Ring to act as a spacer.

Mine went from not being able to fire off all 39 rounds in rapid bursts and barely being able to shoot off the whole mag in semi, to being able to fire off a whole mag in full auto and getting about 1.5-1.75 mags worth of BBs off (depending on temperature etc) on semi. I also find the blowback is more consistent, rather than kicking like a mule on a fresh CO2 cartridge and gradually gimping off.

thank you

You're welcome

hey Drake,

wondering if you could find the guide? I did a search on here and nothing detailed really came up.

and where can i find the Shooters Design HICAPA piston head? do they sell them at redwolf?

And I didnt really understand what you mean, so before the mod, the uzi with full co2 kicks like a mule (which is good), but gradually gets worse.

Will the mod still make it kick like a mule? or slow down the speed and velocity or blowback all together?

I've got a KWC uzi as well. I've converted my CO2 mag to green gas but it isn't as efficient as the CO2. The problem seems to be the excessively strong recoil springs. I'm in the process of getting weaker ones made...
