You should also post up on www.edmontonairsoft.net, there are lots of guys on there with real steel who may be able to help you out.

i doubt that it would be able to stand up to the abuse a real gun takes( i.e. firing) although it would work for a while it might eventually come apart

I think mcguyver has one but he lives in Grand Prairie Im not sure if his is SL8 into G36 clone or if its G36 SFO (Single Fire Only)
As for using on real steel, probably not recommended, if I recall correct 300 rounds (100 on c-mag) continuously firing on the G36 the Handguard could start to deform, although the gun still stood strong. (it was a HK test on G36's reliability.) Basically what Im saying here a reinforced polymer on stood upto 300 rounds, a cheaply made plastic is expect to happen alot quicker |

I don't have a G36 or SL-8, airsoft or real. I had a Marui G36c years ago, for a short time. Try on EAR, someone there is bound to have one. I don't know where you came up with that one, Kullwarrior.

I wouldnt even try putting one on. The real ones are thick polymer and have a heatshield inside , the airsoft ones are thin shitty plastic with no shield.

No, but there were other members of of EAR who do have/have had the SL8, G36 in both real and airsoft.

EAR forums has a section for real guns. Many users have both. There are lots of pics, discussion, etc.
I only have a lowly AR, not a rare G36.

It doesn't. Slight variation in both mounting points(its too small).
Plus the material is plastic instead of a fibre reinforced polymer so it will not last even if it machined to fit.

Correct. The real HK handguard is slightly smaller than the TM one. I had to maching my TM G36 body done about 1/8" to get my real G36K handuard to fit properly. So an airsoft one on a reak G36/SL series would just rattle around.
