Upgrades Req'd for KSC USPc on Propane
I've done some searching, and most threads ssay metal slide, but stop there.
What else should I do to get the gun ready for propane? I was thinking Metal Slide and a stiffer (possibly 150%) recoil spring. Anything else? Thanks in advance. |

You don't need to get anything. Just do this mod and you're good to go!
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=4420 Mine's been going strong on propane ever since! Edit: if you read the whole thread you'll see that you don't even need to buy an O-ring, just flip the piston cup around and voila! Propane ready!

Accepting my stupidity, which part number is the piston cup/seal that I am reversing?
And thanks! |

I forgot... I think it was #28 but basically when I did it I just took it apart and it's pretty obvious which one when using this site as a comparison:

Got it flipped. The kick on it now is insane. It keeps knocking the litte clip on the right of the gun off!
The FPS is up (as far as I can tell...going through material it couldn't before), and MUCH more accurate. Still feels like it kicks too hard for a plastic body, but if others have been okay, I can only hope for the best. Plus, (one of the reasons I bought this gun), there is many replacement parts available. Thanks again. |

Here's the best upgrade you can do. Find a HK retailer/distibutor and replace that friggin cheap cheap cheap ass monkey metal garbage trigger with a REAL USP Compact trigger.
Takes minor fitting to install and it WONT BREAK! Unlike KSC's el cheapo crap. I personally advise trying to fit as many REAL parts as you can to your guns, as airsoft companies make generally piss ass quality crap. |

Glad you found it.
Yeah the kick scares me all the time but its also one of my favorite points of the gun

Thanks for hint BC.
dontask: How many rounds have you put through it with propane like this? Still no plastic slide breakage or anything? |

I've used propane from day one even before I flipped the piston cup.
I'd say upwards of 1000 rounds have been put through her and as far as I can tell it's in the same condition as when I received her.
