importin silencers

importin silencers

i read in the FAQ that silencers are illegal to import, (yes a noob that reads the FAQ and no pigs dont fly)lol
however i also read that people easily import them

anyone has had experience importing silencers themself?

imported silencer many times

many times the customs checked it.

and all of them made it through the customs, I have never heard of silencer being seized at the customs

Are you really in North Dakota?

USA rules are a wee bit different. Silencers are a bit of a bug for the BATF. Most cases they need all the foam etc. gutted out of them and they also need an orange tip to at least enter the country. Then State laws apply on the orange go/no go.

What a small price to pay for the freedom to buy guns so easily and cheaply in the U.S. though.

since we are on the topic, i am going to do a order with a silencer, for myself, does any one think ill have any problems with customs?
any recomendations, like have it sent ems?

Technically silencers are prohibited items for Canada, but it seems that they make it through customs quite regularly. You're taking a gamble with it.

As for the US, then check out US laws on them, as our laws here are different. Although I think Danke may be correct in his post.

out of curiousity somewhat related, what about
40mm grenades, do those make it accross the border pretty easy?

Those are hit or miss man, some people have had them seized.
