G&G UMG internals
I love umps and I am planning on buying the G&G version over the holidays from Ken. I have heard that the G&Gs can have bad internals so after I buy it i would buy a replacement gearbox from airsoftparts.ca. I was looking at some of their complete gearboxes but I don't know which one would fit the ump? Also would a long or short motor fit the gun?
Thanks |

He won't sell it to ya until you can prove you're at least 18. As for the motor stuff, I'll let someone else fill you in on that.

I am 24 do you have to get verified on ASC to purchase from Ken?

Getting verified is a pretty big benefit, so I'd look to getting through that first. I'm pretty sure Ken uses the ASC verification to know he's selling to adults and not kids. Being verified opens a whole new world to you too, so check the regional representatives in the age verifying section.

UMP uses a version 3 mechbox. My G&G had no internal problems. You might want to play with the gun first before replacing anything, it might not break.

I have read many times that the UMP was in the 160-240 range.

I find that highly unlikely, the two UMG's I've seen in person were shooting around 330 without any modifications.

All things wear. If you use it a lot. It will go down faster. Fix it when you break it.
