need a new thigh holster....

Hey everyone,

So just recieved my new Tm desert eagle hardkick, and well it wont fit in my old thigh holster. So the hunt begins for a new one, if anybody knows of a place to get a great thigh holster, please let me know.

I need it in OD, right side, it would be nice if it came with a pistol mag pouch on it, two straps to go around my thigh.....feels more secure. This is how my old one was set up.

Well i'll keep looking for one but hopefully the community here will have some good input.

Thanks Beach

Try the 4.0 SEALS Special Operations Holster. It's made by Eagle, ambi, you can attach a pistol mag pouch onto it and a TM DE will fit like it was made for it. The best part is that if you ever switch sidearms, all you need to do is run some thread through the holster in front of the trigger guard, and it'll fit like a custom holster. I've owned two and ran a TM DE as my primary for a good year or so. SEALS also has great service.

Why would you need a pistol mag pouch on your holster? Think about that for a second. What hand is your pistol in when you need to get that mag? What hand do you need to use to get that mag?

Dumb.

I can shoot with both hands, and i have 3 mags.....since i only have one pistol mag pouch i figured i would buy a mag pouch to go on the thigh holster. So that gives me a mag on my plate carrier, a mag in the gun, and one more mag on the holster. Seems to work for me....or i can put the spare mag pouch on my other leg.....ie; like a subload.

Try Corlane in Dawson. They sell real Desert Eagles, and may have holsters for them in-stock. They're also a Blackhawk dealer and I think I've seen Uncle Mike's holsters (IWB) in there as well. But not those for the D.E., lol!!

Have you ever considered a custom made Kydex Holster for your DE? I know a guy that makes custom Kydex holsters for the Tac 8 paintball guns. I know he can prob do the same for a DE. Here take a look:

The T8 and Desert Eagle are about the same size and weight so it shouldn't be a prob. Let me know if you want to see a video of the holster.

It's generally a good idea to have your mags at the same place, easy to grab.

ex: my pistol mag are on my left side on my gun belt. So I can reload using my left hand, keeping my eyes on target, pistol at the ready.

I bought my tac holster from Magnum Research. They're a supplier for DE pistols.

Look for this seller on EBAY: discountblackhawk

He has many models all genuine brands at some unbeatable prices.
Many blackhawk models also.

Got my Blackhawk drop leg holster OD whit a magazine pouch from him. Very cheap ( I think i paid mine something like 30$us...) and very very good quality.

In addition to what fox said, you would typically want to have your mags opposite of the hand that you are shooting with. Reloading the mag on the holster requires you to switch hands or reholster the gun. Both are slow and causes you to lose your target.

What you all need is a dual wielding, dual reload system! only 2 in existence in airsoft so far. both fielded once and operational.

Carry the mag in it in safezones/chow halls/etc.

+1 on this one, I have one in Multicam, literally it'll be the last holster you'll ever need to own, it's fully modular, when I got mine I was able to put my G19 into the inner sleeve easily, then I set it up left leg and to hold my Mk23, fits perfectly (even set it up so that my suppressor fits in the front of the outer part, right in front of the inner sleeve). So it'll hold your DE no problem. Is also rather flat, and best thing about it, the leg straps run through the outside as opposed to the inside, so they hold the gun and holster to your leg, won't shift or jiggle around when you move fast. And don't bother with a mag pouch on it, it adds bulk.
