:P These aren't field boots... just as you shouldn't be wearing sneakers onto the field, wearing any inadequate footwear for a given environment is inadvisable.

I think there was some kind of a profiling thing they did with people with longer second toes. Can't remember what it was though. Mine aren't, so I didn't pay too much attention to it. Anyone know>>

I don't think I'd use these for running. Stub a toe on the track or ashphalt and you're going to feel it.

Got a pair this spring, from MEC, and love them to pieces. Great for scrambling/bouldering and light climbing or for in a canoe/kayak. Not skirmish friendly I don't think. I have gone running in them and havn't suffered any from it. It maybe because you have greater feel for where you placing your feet... or because your extra careful where you place your feet.

i have the longer second toe and i got a pair of the ones he has in the photo, there really comfy once you get used to them and your foot gets stronger. and if you have trouble finding retailers just go to their website
http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/ the only thing is that you would want to get sized before hand because your toes actually grow after you wear the shoes. so ya no difference for the toe thing Last edited by OGRE; January 9th, 2009 at 21:20.. |
