Is there a paint/coating to improve cheap plastic texture?
*Sorry - could a mod please move this to the modifications forum? *
Is there some kind of spraypaint or application out there that will improve the look and texture of cheap feeling plastic? I'm thinking of something that will give cheap feeling and looking handguards, recievers, etc. something that might more resemble nylon-fibre? Or perhaps for handguards or buttstocks add slightly rubbery yet stiff feel to it? I'm looking for something more than the typical krylon matte sprays. For example, the MP5 PTW has a soft textured/fibrous looking handguard, lower reciever, and buttstock. Even TM plastic on guns looks and feels pretty cheap/inauthentic, especially when you get that wear that smooths them out and grips and other parts start becoming really shiny. Is there any spray, application, coating, etc. treatment that would help to improve el-cheapo plastic? Maybe something for car interiors to improve cheap car plastic (which is a good analogy because you can tell cheap car plastic from more textured/better feeling/looking ones)?

If you want an orangepeel like texture, probably better for rifles, I've used spray truckbed liner. Works great.
