Upgrading G36c gearbox need advice
Hi i have a stock JG g36c, and im looking to just get a little performance boost, nothing big, just wanna upgrade spring guide, brushing and spring.
Im not sure v. gearbox it is, iv looked around and seen 2&3, not sure what brushing size to use iv seen 5mm? is that right? And will i need shims? And are these good choices: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/guarder-a...earing-v2.html http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/pdi-spring-150.html http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/other-aeg...g-bushing.html |

if you're this clueless, you shouldn't do it yourself, find a gun doc.
Believe me, you will fuck something up in the process. in any case, it uses 6mm bushings and the gearbox version is v3 |

iv messaged both gundocs in my area 3 days ago and so far none of them have replied, so im looking for a gun doc near me(I live in Vaughan, willing to ship), willing to pay reasonable rates no problem.
Also What do you guys think about this set? http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...TK36_srch_shim I plan on either getting that kit but using a PDI 140% spring or buying these piece's individually: http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h9..._1991/erer.jpg I will also be getting sorbo pads with either one. And will i need a 9.6v battery or will i be ok with a 8.4? Last edited by Morra; November 18th, 2008 at 22:56.. |

I'll do it, if you don't think I'm too far, $15/hr. PM me if you're interested.
Since it's a JG, the big question is whether it's old enough to need these special bushings or new enough to use standard 6mm bushings.

It might be easier for you to ship the gun to me, so I can check it out. Then I can tell you what you need, and you can have the parts shipped to me.
Like I said, if you're seriously interested, PM me.

Since we're on the subject of JG/Echo1 G36c's, I have been wondering which internal upgrades one would want to consider for longetivity. Since you guys will be working on the JG/E1 G36c, I would greatly appreciate if you disclosed to me what of the internal parts need to go, and what stock parts are solid - if this is apparent to you when you open it up.

Bearing Spring Guide Polycarb piston and piston head (head doesn't need to be bearing) If it doesn't have metal bushings, put in metal bushings. New hop-up (pro-win ones are good, even the stock CA one is decent) polycarb tappet plate maybe a new nozzel (prometheus ones are good). Properly shim it too. Regrease it.

Hi, i got an older version of an echo-1 g36c, one version that didnt came with metal bushing. That's the first thing you shall look into. if you already have metal bushings installed, a steel spring guide should be the next thing to upgrade.
After those 2 crucial parts, look for a new piston and piston head, polycarbonate piston head with bearing and polycarbonate piston by Modify (see http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/index.php) are nice and of good quality. That's all the upgrade my g36c as gone throug (not true : i forgot my spring compressed for 3 month and had to change it) but i warn you on that, watch out for the fps increase, you may need a softer spring, those upgrade can easily give you a good 15-30 fps more. I can't use my gun for cqb now and since i only found an harder spring i fear it will be too strong for outdoor gaming too. One ast thing, look closely your barrel assembly after each game. The point where the inner barrel and the hop-up is attached to the barrel assembly is prone to break. that plastic at the end of the barrel assembly is too soft. I had to epoxy glue mine with a bit of mighty putty but now it work like new. I hope this will help a little. edit : Kalnaren said to change the tappet plate too and i can only agree. I have not changed mine yet but i will do. the stock one just seem so soft to me. Look like it could bend instead of pulling the nose.
