You can safely run that AEG on a 7.4 1300 - 1500mah batteries

Classic Army > G&G by a LONG shot. Externally CA are one of the best. THey're very hard to match, let alone beat.

Internally, it's a hell of a lot better than the G&G. Some claim there are problematic (inexpensive) internal parts like the piston body and tappet plates. But I haven't seen that myself. I'm running a CA M15 (same mechbox at that MP5) and finally blew my stock piston after 4 years of pretty heavy use.

The batteries go on the foregrip and you can buy batteries at eliteairsoftbatteries.com, they make custom batteries for airsoft. All my bateries are from them or airsoftparts.ca

yes but you either have to convert the connectors from deans(batteries) to small tamiya(gun) or vice versa

Use deans the whole way. Much more reliable.

If you're in Aldergrove I know it's far but it will definitely be worth your time to go to Airsoft Gear in Richmond. Not only can the owner (Optix) take down your AV info for you but they have all manner of parts and accessories that even if you don't buy a gun from them at least it's worth it to take a look at all the accessories and gear they have.

Also, for the VFC PDW if it's the "DX" version I believe you get a PEQ15 in the box however no battery. I would highly recommend either the 7.4V "PEQ" LiPo or the 9.9V "PEQ" LiFePo4, or even an 11.1V LiPo.

Talk to the staff there as well, they all know most of their stuff and are knowledgeable in their own rights in different areas (GBB's, AEG's, Spring sniper rifles, gear, electronics/batteries, etc.).

usually it depends on the host or games, there are ammo limits imposed on players in some games. Ideally you can run with hicaps at first and slowly build your accesories as you go. I only use a 30rnd mags because thats all they have for PTW5 I have about 28 of them and in a typical CQB I would use about 8-9 depending on teh scenario, in milsim the most I ever used was 22 mags.

General load out if I was using a MP5 would be 12 mags, 6 pistol mags and my side arm

WARNING: You will probably blow your budget the first time you go to that store because of all the cool stuff you will see! My suggestion, buy only the very basics and go back home to enjoy what you just purchased.

Most players blow their budget on their first visit to a store and end up buying another kit when they discover that they prefer something else

Between G&G and CA, Classic Army is the easy choice.

MP5 will be a bit harder to find since everyone usually goes with the AR or AK platform when starting out. Doesn't mean that there doesn't exist some MP5's there, IIRC they have 2 on consignment right now (both pretty decent starter packages at decent prices).

As far as a ammo/mag limit goes, regular skirmish days, anything goes but try not to be a BB hose or you'll drain your batteries fast.

Pistol wise, I've only really gotten like 3 pistol kills in my entire time playing airsoft and only pulled out my pistol maybe 10-15 times but that's mainly because I tend to engage at longer distances (at least 50-60 feet) and only pull out a pistol when I'm engaging below my Minimum Engagement Distance for my rifle.

Also I'll echo the "buy a few pieces at a time" sentiment. I did it that way and am starting to amass a collection of gear that I like and not useless stuff that I use once and put in the back of the closet forever or go and sell it after one use.
