And "just buy CADPAT stuff" is not a solution as that comes with a high price tag for all the stuff I want and money is something in short supply at the moment (can afford $40 for fabric and thread but not $500 for a full set of gear) its not realistic.
Personally MARPAT seems to match CADPAT better than the ACU, but I have more of the ACU, so I'm not sure what I'm doing at the moment.

I'm not saying this is happening here, but I always find it funny when every time the topic of camo comes up, people think that there's got to be some magical camo out there that's going to make them totally invisible
But as for the thoughts on the matter, I wouldn't say that there's any frowned upon camo combinations. Unless of course you're wearing pink BDU's and blaze orange gear on top of it, but even then, that'll have you laughed at more than anything.
This is just my personal opinion, but MARPAT looks as if it would be more effective to use during the fall season, where as CADPAT TW seems like it would work better in the late spring and through the summer when all the leaves are on the trees, and they're green. Maybe for this season, ACU BDU's under CADPAT gear may be the better combination, since most of the leaves are out, but there are still enough bare branches for the ACU to have an effect.
