Since you can type, I suppose you can read? You messaged me several times and I told you what to read. You obviously did not do that. You are very new, and like many who are told 'no' you insist on trying to find loopholes. Save yourself grief and flaming by stopping right now. |

It seems that some understanding is needed, so I'll chew it out for you.
1- Must be 18 to buy. That is clear, right? 2- Must be 18 to own. That follows point one. 3- They are classified, most of the time, as Replicas. The laws for that are written down (18 to buy and own). When can an underage person handle something like that legally? Or have it in their possession? Never, unless the actual legal owner is right there to let you use it under supervision. This is exactly the same as for a real gun. Read about the laws that apply to Replicas, or to real guns. Same rules. The rules and laws listed on these boards assume that you are over 18 already AND the legal owner of the guns. They assume you know about the responsibilities of owning an airsoft gun in the first place and what even the legal owner can and cant do. I CAN let you hold and use my airsoft guns, my real rifles, even my Prohibited handguns IF i am Right There watching you at an authorized Range/Field. If not, too bad. If I let you, I'm in deep shit. If you take the guns anyway and do it, I'm still in deep shit. I cant let you just have it and send you on your way, no matter what permits I have. Tell you what; in your research, YOU find me a law that says you can legally own or buy a Replica (if you are under 18 and not the legal buyer) and I'll concede that You are right. Such exceptions to the laws do exist, but they are rare as all heck. Did you read the thread that I, of all people, had posted on how you COULD play this game if you were under 18? I bet not. If you had, you would not be bitching. Is all of this because you dont have parental consent? |

If I didnt I wouldnt be wasting my time.
You are just assuming. So my point has been made. If I indeed am wrong, than I will admit it to you. Right now, I dont see that I am.

So you are over 18, and you are the legal owner of the gun? Perfect, you can do anything you want.
You did not read what I said; IF your parents buy it, IF the place you play allows people under 18 (insurance reasons), IF your parents who are the LEGAL owners of the gun WATCH while you use it, IF they put it away after use under their control (locked), no problems. Is all of that being done? Unless you are over 18, that is how the law works. |

Did you read the Newbie guide by the way? There's a post from one of the Adminsitrators of this site that talks about the age issue.
Maybe you will listen to him even though I told you the same thing? |

Ok. That seems to be correct. But that is not what you have told me previously. You made it sound like I cant even touch a gun.
But I will contact some people and see what I can do for myself. Thanks for the help you have provided.

If you consider that hundreds if not thousands of minors like yourself come to this site every year, its the same for all of them...And they all try to find some loop-hole, and they all fail. They all argue with Greylocks, and none win. Pushing to try and violate the +18 rule will only get crap coming your way. The community strongly supports the rule and anyone who violates it basically screws themselves over. end of thread. |

You cant play with it anywhere you please, none of us can. All you can do, by yourself, with no supervision is to read, check websites, and request to go watch a local game if the folks running it allow it. What you can do WITH supervision is a whole lot more, but even then local game organizers may not allow you to be present because their insurance would go through the roof. So it would be pretty dumb for your parents to buy you a gun you cant use anywhere anyway, right? It's also unfair to ask your parents to break the laws to make you happy, because they would be the ones paying the price. |

Just buy a AEG. The BDU can come later. I personally have 13 guns and use a Black old shirt I got from Old Navy lol.
There is nothing wrong with showing up to games in Civ's if you can't afford it right away. I find ppl at outdoors games are pretty nice to noobs. |
