I did that with my M16 lol, built a mechbox and motor combo from nothing, then opted out for a systema m120 complete with magnum motor.
My custom mechbox, worth $500 in parts, is sitting now in a broken shell lawl. |

I think I went really overboard with this one ha ha. This maintenance job has become a complete rebuild. The list of parts just kept growing and growing. I'm at over $1200 in parts now. I can't wait for everything to arrive so I can start the final assembly and post pictures.

Sounds interesting; I hope you didn't settle for ACM externals though, having nice parts inside a crappy shell isn't fun.
I look forward to pics and components list. |

The externals will be mostly G&P. But I did cheap out on the front-end which is DBoys; however, that is sort of ironic because the front-end I had before was a Madbull JP Rifles front-end that costs nearly twice as much. Why can't they just airdrop this stuff in? I want to build it now...

I say leave the JP rifles kit on...
That or give it to me =p |

It's only the 7" length kit so it doesn't work for my build. If I got the full length one, I certainly would have kept that on instead of the Dboys SPR kit. I'll just keep the JP Rifle kit for a drop-in carbine length upper receiver.
