Well with the heavy breathing from all that movement, plus the amount of mags you go through in such a short time. Sounds like you're huffing a lot of propane over a short period, could be from the smell itself. Smells that may not be harmful will still cause headaches if inhaled, think of it as an irritant.
I'm not sure if Propane would do that specifically, but I'll go ahead and ask my professor to see what he says on the matter. Edit: "Exposure to propane can result in nausea and headaches" From what I was told, so taking into account you're firing off that many mags, huffing from moving so much, and the gun is always close to your face. I believe the propane is causing the headache, now I know this probably doesn't answer your question if its harmful or not, but from what I was told it isn't harmful. I got the basic "If you feel nausea, or begin to get a headache remove yourself from the presence of propane". Kind of hard when you're weapon is propane operated, lol. Don't think I did any good here Last edited by Sacre; February 6th, 2010 at 06:31.. |

Propane gaz is harmless if used in ventilated area; however, some care must be taken since acute toxicity can occur if propane is inhaled in larger quantity (asphyxiation due oxygen displacement in the lungs). In the case of chronic exposure, there was no study made on propane. As a general rule, alkane are relatively harmless unless they are mixed with aromatic compounds that have carcirogenic effects like benzene in gasoline. The dimethyl sulfide present in propane may in higher concentrations is a mucous membrane and skin irritant.
