The stock breaking was my fault, I had to drill the hole out to fit the swivels and the heat must have warped the screw and fucked the threading along with melting some paint. And I would recommend the gun, but I have no clue about the chamber.

I had the same problem with the chamber on my tanaka M24, Its due to the fack that he tighten too much the screw in front of the mag well and that puts stress on the plastic block. I corrected the problem by buying the G&G heavy barrel set which came with the outter, inner barrel and a metal chamber block. Now its freeflot which on any other tanaka rifle isnt due to the fack that one of the sling mounts upfront is screwed with the barrel. With that, the rifle is about 8 pounds heavier!

I bought one of these (Tanaka M40a1) with the plain black stock last year. Nice gun, once you can get the pressure and hopup settings perfect. (good luck with that btw, was a bit of a b$tch to do, especially since the gas pressure fluxuates.
And then I traded it for another rifle, Penguin is the lucky owner of it now. Kinda wish I hadn't traded it to him, but ah well.

it would fit a M700 for sure its the same system except for the buttstock. As for the M40... Give a email to redwolfairsoft or extrem airsoft in california (thats where I got mine) End up costing me 180bux went throught customs just fine.

Hey, quick question, do they replicate the floating barrel on that rifle?
(I know that on a technicality the actual 'inner barrel' is what the BB travels through, but I'm still curious) |

on the stock one, no there's a bipod anchor point which is attached to the barrel ta make the gun strudier but with the G&G barrel set it really becomes a free flot.

Oh, alright. I kindof guessed that it would be fixed to the stock for stability (since it's not exactly military materials).
Thanks! |

Yeah, I bought a box of .3 TM's, they're much better than the graphite coated bb's.
