Tanaka M40A1 Woodland

Just got it today, I was so excited that I was running with scissors to cut the box open  Tomorrow I'll snap some more shots when I got pick up a Harris Bipod for it.

Very nice piece.
I still need to grab one of those bad boys in wood for a nam kit, but I think the camo job on it looks realy decent.
Good buy dude.
You get to try it out yet?

Supersized - No I didn't order it from a pre-order, I ordered it in December from will at specarms, basically it was out of stock at RedWolf and the gun came from the factory in Japan where its made to Redwolf, then shipped with one of Will's incoming orders. This process taking around 3 months in total for it to arrive to my house today.

Concept8- You know it, I put some propane in this bad boy right away. The hop up is easy to set, but somewhat touchy to get it on the perfect setting for range. Very accurate gun, I'm going to have to sight my scope in with my .36's and my bipod sometime when the weather is nice and I can see the pellets. I only tried my .25's today just to make sure the gun was functioning. The action on the gun is very smooth, and I love the look of the 10 round .308 box mag compared to the regular 5 round. Expect a review after I start playing in the spring. I believe its the only one like it in Canada with the woodland, I'm sure theres probably some other M40A1's but not his version at least. Its kind of a rare gun, pictures don't do justice to the stock either, the paint looks much better up close, the flash kinda makes it look different.

Yeah I thought so... I just wanted to appologize for mollesting your rifle last weekend.... I tried to keep the plastic on in order to keep my drool off of it.

A very nice piece indeed. Let us know how it performs. After feeling yours out I am starting to look into one....

Like I said, the flash makes the color look more seperated which its not, you would have to see it in person to appreciate the paint. I think it looks shitty in the pictures but in person it's amazing.

I concur.... So pimped you need to be wearing the hat in your avatar, a furry coat, a cane with some bling on it and six inch platforms with the goldfish in the heal while using it..... somthing "Silky Johnson"esque

I'm sure it could take the old 5 rounders, and Iceman thanks for the praise! For me it was really worth the wait, most people have the APS-2's or L96's or some even own the M24's. I wanted something different, and since marines kick way more ass then anyone out there, that combined with the fact I love the stock with the bulge for your cheek and the 27 round magazine which means I don't have to buy a shitload of the small ones made me buy it. Oh and the fact that it's very rare. I have yet to see any reviews of a Tanaka M40A1, not even the old versions, so you guys will have the exclusive on ASC of reading it later in the spring.
