Not very impressed at all. Why is it no one will make a good MP40???? Maybe if we get enough people asking TM or even CA will try. What do you guys say, should we rally the troops??

Finally, a "mainstream" airsoft retailer (WGC) has the new, cheap MP40s. Well, they are on pre-order right now.
http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...AGMMP40_srch_1

I was planning on picking up a P38, but now my sights are set on this MP40. Even if it turns out to be crap at least it will be an inexpensive wall-hanger/fixer-upper for $120 US (sorry to all you Top MP40 owners).

Now's the time to start bugging your favorite Canadian airsoft retailers to bring these in!

That looks amazing and the price made be believe it was a mistake.

It must be a piece of shit inside for that price, and if it isn't, God help us, airsoft is getting cheaper!

You know... I actually thought of that...

I was just hoping that if no one else said it... it couldn't be true.

I was in denial. But we can hope!

$120 is not unheard of for this chinese MP40, although one retailer apparently sells an MP40 fo $290, with the justification that it is somehow different and better than the "cheaper" ones.

I've heard prices for the AGM MP007 (the actual name/model of the MP40 being sold) run around $100US. It's most likely that the $120 is the actual price for the gun, not just the service of cutting off a fire-selector switch.

I just purchased one of those Chinese AK74's here in Scotland. Its 300+ FPS out of the box and the shop we were in has all good things to say about these Chinese guns. The shop owner runs an airsoft site over here and he's had them out for a test run.

I'll let you know how I get on with it once I've had a chance to use it.

We have two of the TOP MP40's (one has had the whole gearbox replaced in order to be able to use it - the other is a decoration!) We will be getting one of the Chinese ones as soon as they arrive in the shops here to check it out too.

Yes please let us know how this new MP40 stacks up. It's nice to know that we will be getting an honest opinion on this thing not just what the manufacturer wants to say about it. I really need an MP40.

Had the AK74's out today and they shoot quite well, actually better than my TM Spetz (more distance, etc.) The gun came with battery, charger and sling for £95 (about $200 Canadian). The mag that came with it isn't much as they have to be wound quite frequently, but the TM AK mags fit in these guns, so problem solved.

We were told yesterday that the cheap MP40's will be in the shop in approx 2 weeks and we have one set aside for us as soon as they arrive...will keep you posted as to what they are like.

So far, its a definite 'thumbs up' for the Chinese guns!!!

PS: My boyfriend says he's going to try taking the gearbox out of the cheap MP40 and put it in his TOP MP40 because the TOP guns are made more realistic. We'll let you know how that works as well.

That sounds great, if the gearbox fits the Top MP-40 then maybe I can get mine back to working order again. Keep us posted.
