Real Sword Type 97B springs for 350- 400 fps

I just received my type 97B from Real Sword.

Great gun and all but to my surprise it's advertised at 290 fps but the one I got shoots at 460 fps with the stock spring!!!

I had to switch springs in it (very easy). I had an old stock spring from my Galaxy MP5K (used to shoot at 300 fps).

To my surprise (again) this spring shoots at 385 fps in the type 97B!!! I finally managed to bring it around 330-340 but cutting like 4-5 coils.

So, based on your experience, which springs do you use in this AEG for 350 fps and 400 fps?

Seems to me that the 97B is extremely efficient when it comes to fps and can get very high ratings with low-fps springs...

I use the systema M85 spring it gives me about 345 fps which is pretty weird considering it's supposed to be about 290 fps spring lol... http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...Spring_M85.htm

Thanks for the info. I will try to order one to avoid using a cut spring. Shipping is ridiculous on this : 22US$ to ship a single spring here... geeez

mine is using a stock spring, shoots 390fps. just buy a complete gear box set from them, so you pay less for every spare parts.

Yeah i thought about that but since the M85 gives 345 fps to shooting addict I was thinking that it was a bit too close.

I asked a quote from dentrinity and uncompany. They have slower shipping options (thus cheaper) so it might work out with them.

You could try a systema 1J, or try and find an old stock TM spring from somewhere.

Again, might be too hot

We're a very exclusive clan of weird-weapon users

Gawd, I love how it looks and feels. Great gun for lefties ('bout time too!).

Do any of you guys find the sights a bit too high?

I am half tempted to just cut that handle down and just put a rail over it for a scope
