Cylinder head in hopup on PTW

Hey guys,

Just fount out that the nozzle on the end of my cylinder has broken off, and has gotten really stuck in the hop up unit.

I have a tackleberry mod on it, not sure if that is of importance.

Anyways, anyone know of a good Systema gun doctor who can work on it for me, or give me the correct instructions.

Got any pics? I've heard of this happening when guys have used the Biovail bb's in their PTW's...what are you using for bb's? Did your gun experience any misfeeds prior to the nozzle breaking? What cylinder were you using?

Sounds like you're going to have to remove the barrel & disassemble the hop up unit!

Gun seemed to be shooting like a charm... then poof.

Loosen off the adjuster set screw.

Remove silver barrel key with needle-nosed pliers (small electronics ones).

Pull out inner barrel and all hop-up components.

Drive out the broken nozzle if possible. If not, you will need to replace the hop-up chamber and it might be best to replace the complete cylinder head. You should be able to salvage the modified hop-up as long as there is no damage to those components. They are transferrable from chamber to chamber.

I'd like to add that there was a string of cylinders manufactured mid-late 2007 that had no Loc-Tite on the nozzle threads. These ones were the 2008 versions with the hex-cut nozzle interior and polyurethane o-ring. It may be that this nozzle joint came undone, and may have broken off the remaining threads or may simply just be undone and hammered into the chamber.

That may be what happened here.
