ill be honest, they all kinda suck because you end up wasting 10 rounds every mag.

Private Parts magwell converter is solid but it didn't take well to my metal KA mags. Socom Gear worked but the material used is crap, same KA mags had a bit of wobble and ended up breaking the feed lip easily.

I've tried my socom gear one on 2 different G36's (the first with with both a G36 and SL9 reciever) and never got it to feed with any magazines, it didn't even fit on the KWA G36.

The classic army works great on my KWA g36c but it requires a slight modification to fit. I waste about 4-5 bb per mags but It feeds well. I use magpul PTS Pmag 30 magazines.

What if I want to use "normal" CA, G&P, or TM metal magazines as opposed to Pmags or any other mags?
Anyone have info on which conversion kit should be chosen (gun is a TM)?

From my understanding, all G36 magwell convert suck in general
-loses more bbs than normal (kinda the same as AK-magwell adapter) -wobbles -feeding issue Hate to say, but stick with G36 magazines. use midcaps, you shouldn't need to carry 4+ midcaps. |

I had the Star/Ares/Shooter one.
But I had an SRC G36, so the hop-up unit has an integrated feed tube. I modifed the magwell adapter by cutting the extra lenght (it is metal on the Star, and removeable. So easy to work.) and enlarging the opening of the hop-up tube. It was feeding 100% with CA, TM and KA metal lows, and the modification to the hop-up was not preventing the use of the stock magwell. All in all, you should stick to the regular G36 mags. Took me a month to make the mods, and I am guntech and have a lot of RC cars, so I build stuff all the time. In the end, I was still using the regular G36 mags because it was more convenient. But I was keeping the adapter in a pouch on my, in case I was out of ammo on the field. |

I have an Ares G36, with a Battleaxe. I mainly use MAG brand M4 mags. There is slight wobble, but same as when the MAGS are in an M4 aeg. Feeds good. When I first started using it, I wouldn't loose 6 bbs everytime I change a mag, because the bbs would go into the feed tube of the magwell, but wouldn't drop out. sort of like a one way valve. I thought that was pretty good, since I would't loose any BBs when I change a mag. After a while with all the BBs pushing through, I guess it loosened it up and now I loose about 6 BBs every time I change a mag.

I had one of the Socom Gear adapters, the feed tub snapped off the first time I put a mag in it, haven't bothered with a magwell adapter since.

i JUST bought a TM g36c which also has a battleaxe conversion. i do nt have it in my hands yet but i suspect itll work great too

I used to have the private parts one on my CA36. It fed fine, but mags wobbled and I decided a perfectly good G36 should run on G36 mags.
