Clear Airsoft Guns?
According to the law, I thought that we (Canadians) were not allowed to buy guns that are not clear bodied. There are barely any good clear airsoft guns that you can buy. How can I get around this? I want to get my self a nice bolt action sniper rifle but I can't because of the law!

Take a look at the FAQ's on this website, particularly the ones about age verification. You need to be 18 to get the good stuff.

Most everyone on this forum will tell you to get “Age verified” and buy from the classifieds.
You cannot import any guns from websites outside of Canada. Airsoft is a 18+ sport Sniping is not for newbies If you are underage please do not try to circumvent the system in place, its there for a reason. Nobody will help you get a gun if you are not age verified or underage Do not play in your backyard/forest or anything of the like. Only play on official fields. Please read the FAQ’s LINKS! Yes, I turned 18 as of January 1st of this year, and i Know how to become Age Verified, I Just found the FAQ's to be a little bit Unclear is all. The way people seem to be leading me is that it IS ok to buy metal/realistic Airsoft guns as long as you are over the age of 18. Am I correct when i say this?

Public cannot access black/metal guns. I cannot buy one even if I wanted. Only those AV'd by asc can buy black/full metal guns. The fact that asc has them in classified adds does not mean they are 'out there' and you can get around AV. Those who obtain them for asc are do so under a 'no questions asked' policy, of course you know make of model and specs. But we do not ask, so that in the event that someone wants to charge you for buying it you can say 'I was not told how it got in country'. Also the FAQ is sufficient that a non-AV'd member such as myself can understand this and adhere to it with out having to post the six hundredth thread on the topic
(mach1 is excempt of this)

Being older than 18 is more of an ASC policy. ASC however has a near monopoly on fully black airsoft guns in Canada, and we don't sell to minors.

Other than that, maintain proper care for your weapon and those around it (children and friends) respecting the community (airsoft and your neighborhood) and those in law enforcement and you'll be good. DO NOT EVER discharge your weapon within city limits and do not bring it in public. Safe storage and safe transport is a must. This is an 18+ sport for a reason.

There are a lot of airsofts nowadays that you can buy on the net, some have a clear lower receiver, and upper metal receiver. Some were full metal, i've seen the SCAR-H with full metal, it looks awesome~
For the clear lower receivers, the companies that make them can tint the lower receiver so it is not the 'see through' clear. It's not that bad~ For the sniper, i would just go online and buy it from there~ not much places would sell them. But the prices would range from 300-500$ |

derek's statements are true but you would probably end up paying a lot more for lower quality than what you could get on ASC sales thread. Trust me it's worth it. (why am I not av'ed myself ? oh true.. Got my arsenal already lol)

Dude, I want to know where you are looking for these sniper rifles. I haven't seen a good one that was not hovering around the $800+ mark.
