It looks kinda nice. But if the hop-up it uses is the hop-up they thumbnailed in the corner, then it's that god-awful hop-up that the WELL L96 uses as well as the exact same tacky bipod.

Echo1 rebrands ACM guns, so it's probably a Well, which means it's crap.

And, well like that, it does look like crap. A PRS could enhance alot the look, but the CTR isn't designed for good cheekweld...

Looks cheap, looks like some fakegun, and I don't see the point.

I retract what I said, even with a PRS it looks like crap.

noobs are gonna be ALL over that, and its "advanced" so they'll think they don't need upgrades when people give them the 'ole "stock sniper rifles are no better than aeg's" bit

Agreed looks cheap, I'm not a big fan of the m4 stock variants on a sniper rifle.

Left handed bolts for the APS-2 are already out there, and being a maruzen clone they'd logically fit. The receiver appears to accompany them as well.

yes but "sometimes" clone is little bit better (sometimes not all the times)
the maruzen APS-2 only comes with rifle and 1 mag, but echo 1 comes with bi pod and 3 mags. Also because it is clone echo 1 is little bit cheaper.
echo 1 ASR: $115.00 USD
maruzen APS-2 $193.00 USD
i'm not saying that ECHO 1 is way better. i'm saying that it's good for it's value

"better" is a missnomer, i would rather have a gun that has a proven track record on upgrades (i.e. won't snap half the pot-metal components when i use an upgrade spring) rather then a few extra magazines or a cheap bipod.

cheap is cheap and while you may pick up a solid gun on occasion, the laws of the universe mean it's unlikely that clones will consistantly beat originals.

Look cheap. Look super light. Look like it will break at the first game. And I predict the accuracy for this gun will be just a therm to describe how much it's not accurate at all.

I'm looking forward to see one on the field. I'll shoot it and add some high speed ventilation holes in it wth my M24.

It needs one of those M4 tanker stocks. The ones that look straight off a grease gun. That would be perfect.

Not sure where your getting your prices.... but their sure not that price in Canada. I wouldn't even touch this is your trying to make it into a competitive rifle, I'll stick to my APS-2 SV!

Maruzen makes two versions of this gun. Named SR-2 (Simple Rifle Version 2)

The first (and cheaper) one is a short range, target shooting rifle. No hop-up.

The second is a standard airsoft rifle. Hop-up (ASP2), bolt (ASP2) and compatible. The plastic quality is on par with any other Maruzen rifle, meaning that is is a high nylon polymer coumpound.

Magasine design is based off the L96 magasines, with an extra security on both sides to prevent the mag skipping that appears on older/worn mags or magwell.

The receiver is all polymer, so is the stock. The barrel group is still metal (uses any ASP2 barrel). The front stock section can be removed to acces internals easier.

The stock adapter lets you install any buffer-tub based AR stock. An adapter is probably available to install full stocks or the likes.

The Echo1/Well/china clone is basically the same, with cheaper tolerances. The plastic is cheaper, more of a shiny ABS thing. The mags are compatible between the two.

IMO it can be a very nice rifle for a DMR or as a secondary. Lighter than an APS-2/L96 while keeping the reliability. I am considering buying one just for that purpose.
