AK-47 Battery Tray/Fake Bolt Carrier Not fitting with Metal bodies [solved]

Hooks up to the lower receiver. I need a new one, preferably metal but i don't know what to call it.

Edit:

If you just bought a metal body and your battery tray / Fake bolt carrier / Top Inner Cover Set isnt fitting properly, you can purchase an ICS Bolt:

http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_i...ducts_id=26073
(Though most people recommend not buying from evike, i have not found it in stock anywhere else)

Here is a guide to modify your metal body so that it fits with your new bolt:

It's technically the fake bolt carrier. It isn't found on real AK's though. :\

Right, so if i were to put a want ad up, it would be for a 'fake bolt carrier'?

Post a picture of it. It's common on Airsoft AK's, but having said that, it's specific to the brand of AK and to my knowledge, they don't sell aftermarket ones.

What brand AK is it from?

It was from an A.M. kraken, and i dont think its AK specific, because the metal body i bought (clearly not A.M. brand) had nearly the same hooks.

That's where it becomes model specific. Most AEG AK's have this piece, not many of them are the same.

See if you can source an ICS or VFC AK bolt.

Much more realistic and sexier then that old plastic crap tray.

That would be the common term that I'm familiar with as well.

Probably not without a bit of modification as the piston proceeds into the gas pipe as it would on the RS.

The ICS bolt would fit in with lesser modifications required, I seen a few pop up on the ASC Classifieds, post up a WTB ad and hope for the best.

No that would not work, because of the gas piston.

Found a guide to adapt it to TM guns, and my gun is pretty much a TM replica.

http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_i...ducts_id=26073

here is the ICS bolt from evike, should pass customs

and here is the thread to modify your gun

http://www.airsoftretreat.com/forums...?topic=31335.0

Hopefully someone in the future can dig this out of the archive and it can help them too

As a lot of other people here will say as well:

DO NOT ORDER FROM EVIKE. THEY ARE HORRIBLE.
