Helmets for Smaller Heads

So I've been meaning to get a helmet for a while, but most of them on the market are too big for my asian head. I've been using a Pro-Tec Ace helmet for a while, but I was wondering if there are smaller sizes, or alternatives to the MICH 2000, 2001, 2002, IBH or FAST helmets.

The MICH 2000/ACH ranges in sizes from XXS - L

I don't see how one of the smaller sizes wouldn't fit, unless you are talking about the replicas in which case I don't know who sells what sizes.

Unfortunately all the replicas I have seen are large. I don't want to look like something outta Star Wars. Does anyone know a retailer that sells small sized MICH's?

If you found a replica helmet that is a little big you could buy a set of pads for a real helmet. They come in different thicknesses so to fit a larger helmet to a smaller head you use a thicker pad. They come in the following thicknesses:

#4 1/2 inch
#6 3/4 inch
#8 1 inch

Here is one example:

I just bought a Mich 2001 from tiger111hk and I'm quite pleased with it!
I have a small head as well and this one fits perfectly, you should take a look.

Prices are the best I found as well. Construction quality is OK compared to some other I've seen, but it does a perfect job, especially for the price. 26$ for a mich2001 with ARC Rails and VAS shroud, it's a steal, even with EMS shipping at 25$. The equivalent will cost about 90$ over here with shipping and all.

Thank for the info - I'll keep that in mind. However, a large helmet on my head will still look ridiculous.

What's the circumference of your head?

I don't know, haven't measured, but small :P
To give you an idea I'm really slim (no I won't disclose my weight, its embarassing lol :P)
and about 5' 7" / 5' 8". So the head size has to go with this :P

Head size has nothing to do with your height. You can be short and have a large head.

Just measure it and get the right size helmet. Unfortunately replicas come in only large. Stuffing extra padding is like making a size 13 shoe fit size 10 feet.

If you have a small head like me, get the real ops-core non ballistic base jump sport at a reasonable price. Your head has stop growing, so a good helmet is a investment. You can use it as a bike helmet as well.

Also the base jump comes in only M/L , L/XL, no S/M to small heads. The higher models have S/M

You could always wear a tuque under your large helmet.

Quick question:

Do different size helmets actually come in different circumference values? I know it sounds like a stupid question and it may be an obvious answer, but I haven't found any definitive answer (maybe because it is just that obvious).

The closest I got was that FAST helmet sizing chart, and I am of the impression that they just place different sized pads to accommodate for the different circumferences of heads?

And if it's just a matter of changing the pads in for different sizing, would that not inevitably mean that a helmet will look big on a smaller guy regardless of what "size" he gets, since the outside circumference of the helmet would remain the same?

I'm still looking for an answer for that.
