G&G AK47 must do mods.
Hey all, just picked up a G&G ak47 for stupid cheap. I hear an inner barrel and hop up are a must for these guns.
from what I've read I think I will start with these mods first: King arms/ or Prowin Hop up Madbull Python 6.03 tightbore. Guarder improved black or Guarder clear? Shredders concave spacer Yay or nay? or anything else while I'm in there? Keep in mind I want to put a G&P AK metal kit w/ side folding stock. and a King Arms X47 RAS on at a later date. thanks! |

Thumbs up for the Prowin, but I would be careful as they are made for marui and G&G are one of those dealies that like their proprietary parts. I'm sure it will fit, but just be wary if it wont.
Madbull isn't bad, but prometheus is a much better choice. Well worth the extra dollar. If you're using an SCS concave spacer, get an ARS hopup rubber from airsoft parts. Also understand that there are mods required on the hop rubber itself to get the most of the accuracy out of the spacer. (Cutting of the 'bump' inside the sleeve.) As for metal parts... Again, proprietary. I had to replace near everything on the outside of my G&G just to accommodate metal parts. You're better off just upgrading the internals and leaving it at that. They're sturdy enough as is. |

Is it the Rec version or the high-end one?
If it's the high-end one I really wouldn't worry about the internals, unless you already have problems. An SCS is sufficient. However: You neeed that metal lower. Get yerself AV'd and make that top priority, seriously. |

Ya. I've been trying to get AV'D on here for
Months losing hope on that one. Just the cheap version I'm sure. Combat machine.... |

Well, the current internals are probably still good enough, but from experience I would put the metal lower at the top of the list.
I bought the whoop-dee-doo model and have had some critical issues with the plastic lower (I could only get the cansoft version). My G&G AK performs to excellent standards, but the chronically broken plastic lower takes it out of the game. It is a paperweight right now. Heed my words and prosper! |
