A&K Dragunov SVD (Bolt action)
Hey ASC!
I'm looking to get a Dragunov as my backup/fun BA. With it, I'm thinking maybe I could do some upgrading. Why a Dragunov you ask? Simply because of it's awesome AEG spring swap capacity. As mention in some review, the inner barrel is 590mm, but I want to upgrade it to a 6.03 650mm. Would it still fit? Does anyone know any sites that has different upgrade parts for it? Hop up unit, trigger, etc? I done up my L96 and wanting to make another BA just for fun/back up, think a dragunov is a good choice? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. |

I loved mine... I had to sell it though as I developed hand/forearm issues and headed in WCB land ...
being a tall guy with gangly arms with the rifle supported I could cock the rifle and barely leave scoped position (I could still see what I was shooting at .. just had to take a second to fine aim to take another shot) they are insanely simple inside and ofcourse use alot of AEG parts, and reinforced specific parts are available ... (theres 1 site in the UK that makes reinforced sears, better piston, better spring guide, and something with the cylinder I forget...) as a cheap rifle , they take some finicking to get running nice (little sanding on seam lines, touch of grease... tighten every single bolt down ... my hop and barrel wobbled out of the box) ... but not nearly as much as the tsd's/well etc VSR clones I've messed without before... those were infuriating
