WE HK-416 Open Bolt Kit
Any one did the upgrade yet? I have had my kit for almost 6 weeks now, but I didn't install it yet, and the info on the subject is quite scarce.
I did upgrade all my mags, which was easy enough, but there are a lot of parts for the riffle upgrade. |

I disassembled the gun, and I am left with the upper receiver and the inner barrel (I removed the RIS), at this point I have no clue how to remove the inner barrel.

If the 416 is like the M4 you need to remove the barrel nut (delta ring) and remove the outer barrel: you'll then be able to remove the hopup unit & inner barrel assembly.
You may need to remove other stuff (gas tube, gas block, etc) to be able to unscrew the barrel nut.

Then firmly but gently grasp the inner and wiggle it out if the upper receiver.

Ok I was able to remove it, thanks, I was just scared to break it, but it turned CW easily. I put it all back together with the open bolt kit, but I must have put something wrong because the mags won't go in deep enough, I guess it is the inner barrel lip that I put backward.

I am not sure what I did but the mags just won't go in enough to lock.
