Lucid Airsoft
I recently got a lump of money given to me and was planning to spend it on a my first gun. I planned on getting one from the classifieds, but it's been two weeks since I met with someone to get it done and I haven't heard anything new about it. Becasue I'm starting to get impatient, I decided to look at getting one new from a retailer. This is when I came across Lucid Airsoft's LM4 Carbine and LP5 A4 (M4 and MP5). They were advertised as being "specifically geared towards the experienced veteran and the new airsoft recruit" so they seem like a good choice for someone like me. Unfortunately, there is absolutely NOTHING I could find on them after a google search other than their website and their facebook page. There were no reviews or detailed lists of specs to compare. The closest I found was someone saying they have G&G written on the body, leading me to believe that they are gutted G&G guns. This is all merely speculation so I decided I should ask to see if anyone else has experience with them and whether they are worth getting.
My questions are: 1. Has anyone else got one and would you recommend it? 2. Is it worth taking a chance with one of these for a new player? Their website can be found at http://lucidairsoft.ca/index.php. If my AV doesn't clear in a few days then I'll most likely be getting one (depending on the answers I get here), so if anyone in the Guelph, KW, Cambridge area wants to use it for review purposes feel free to PM me. |

Unless you urgently need a toy pellet gun, wait. Your will sorely regret buying anything out of impatience.

1. Wait

Clearsoft guns look like shit. If you honestly want to waste your money on them b.c you;re too impatient to wait for your AV to clear then go right ahead. I don't see why you're so willing to give a new company a chance considering they don't even list prices on their site.

Those things don't look any different from your run of the mill crappytire special. Mods on here do have 9-5s like everyone else. They may be backlogged and haven't come across your AV yet. Try PMing your AVer to make sure it was submitted as well. You're going to be better off getting your first gun through the classifieds instead of that clearsoft crap.

I dunno.... Kind of seems like that Techfast stuff that was a flop IMO. Not saying that company is crap but I've never heard of it before 2 minutes ago and it seems like it's following the same lines of that Techfast stuff.
Just wait it shouldn't take much longer. If anything just PM the guy who did your AV and see if he's submitted it yet. Sometimes they do forget.... The grass is always greener on the other side. Just don't be like that guy who wants something good but cheaps out and realizes what he bought originally was crap, buys something better afterwards, and ends up spending more money than if he originally bought something better in the first place. eg. Someone wants to buy a computer but cheaps out and gets a Celeron but realizes it's crap then goes to buy an i3 cause he doesn't have enough money left over from reselling the original Celeron system when he could have just bought an i5 system in the first place.

Never heard of them before. That should tell you a few things.
I'm assuming they're G&G rifles with clear receivers. |

It was Colin_S at a game at Flag Raiders a couple weeks ago. I've spoken to him and he says he's submitted it.
Edit: My apologies for seeming kinda whiny. Edit 2: I'm glad I waited. My TM G36C just arrived with conversion kits for MG36 and G36K and I LOVE it. Classifieds beat any store for variety. Last edited by Jaelommiss; October 14th, 2011 at 23:10.. |

I just checked their website and in the product section you can download manuals. In those manuals it appear that the battery, the hop-up and the lenght of the mag look exactly like the G&Gs. So as I can see you are now Age Verified so avoid those clear guns and buy something better in the classified

Techfast has had its hands on both my Velocity Arms VA36 (it is manufactured by JG, not Techfast) and my G&P Canadian Carbine. My G&P box actually says "TECHFAST LTD custom manufactured for Canada" (we all know Techfast doesn't actually manufacture the G&P rifles either). The above information was obtained today, straight from the horse's mouth at Velocity Arms. Hope that helps |
