Ordering from Crye Precision Site

I know this thread may belong to noob tank, but people here would be more helpful.

Did anyone order from CP site before?
1) How is the shipping/duty?
2) Is it safe to across the boarder?

I am looking for order stuffs including JPC, Low Profile Belt (non blast), set of G3 and so.

Of course I would wanna buy from a Canadian source if it is possible.

From what I remember, you need to go through a third-party as they won't accept foreign credit cards and don't do Paypal, etc.

If you have an American CC, you should be fine.

I've always bought my stuff third-party.

I bought my Crye knee pads and elbow pads from here. IIRC, I think they have most of the Crye stuff your seeking. Great service, speedy shipping. I had no problems with them.

DO NOT order directly from Crye.

There international customer service is horrendous.

They simply do not pick-up their phones and do not reply back to emails.

On top of that, they will NOT take credit cards, instead ask you to pay via International money wire transfer (which will cost you $10 to make at your bank). and then charge you a $50 fee on-top of that!

It is crazy.

Try to source what you want/need from a secondary retailer as others have suggested.

FYI - Optactical is out of Crye joint pro. They told me to try back in a couple of months.

That's what I heard from a lot of US dealers, such that crye is trying to make their own website exclusive source. =/

When I ordered my Combat Pants AC from Crye directly they took my credit card...

If you live in the US, they will take your credit card.

Otherwise, all other transactions are now done via wire money transfers which have an extra $50 fee added on top of that.

I asked them directly about this and their response was Crye had trouble with credit card fruad...

My last order directly from them was October 2010 and they accepted my Canadian credit card.

I'm currently in the process of an order with them right now and haven't been told "only US issued credit cards".

crye is like proper, they don't want to deal with customers so they overcharge for everything on their site.
They have retailers to deal with you

Not true I tried to order through there site ... a female correspondent got back to my email within a week and let me know I was able to purchase with credit card although not through there site directly, the price was no different.
